金盞花 Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis)
古埃及人認為金盞花能延緩衷老，印度人則尊奉它為神聖的花。 在中世紀的時候，就被歐洲人廣泛用在治療皮膚的疾病及創傷，對抗瘟疫和黑死病。金盞花含礦物質磷和維生素C等，主要利用部分是花瓣。飲用金盞花茶，能發汗、利尿、清濕熱。《雲南中草藥》記載金盞菊有清熱解毒，活血調經功效。另外，金盞花有消炎抗菌作用，特別是對葡萄球菌，鏈球菌效果較好。
歐洲民間外用於皮膚的各種炎症，加速傷口癒合。內用金盞花可消炎降火、改善體內炎症、 減輕喉嚨不適、 預防感冒、降血脂血壓、舒緩緊張焦慮及改善睡眠 。也是製作草藥手捲煙的重要材料。
